Grilled Zucchini with Cherry Tomatoes & Onions

1 zucchini or summer squash, cut into 1-2 inch pieces
1 onion, sliced into wedges
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
Basil, cut into thin ribbons
Toss all the cut-up veggies in a bowl with about 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Heat a wood or gas fired grill to medium high heat. Place seasoned veggies in a grill basket and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 5 minutes. Serve hot or at room temperature with any other grilled meat, fish, or vegetables.
